Then this is the course for you. It’s a practical , inspiring and grounded approach to accessing intuitive and creative methods of sharing therapeutic yoga nidra specifically for women’s health issues. It shares methods for offering healing yoga nidra both live and online.

An online, weekend retreat-style course for facilitators of yoga nidra. 

12 hours of expert tuition, guidance and practice specifically designed for those yoga nidra facilitators wanting to work with these powerful initiations and threshold places in the journey of the experiences of menstruation, menopause and other aspects of womb and yoni-life. 

Designed and delivered by Uma Dinsmore-Tuli PhD and Yoli Maya Yeh Joseph MA, who bring together over fifty years of yoga nidra facilitation experience to shine light on simple and practical ways for facilitators to support the life cycles of women and yoni owners and to increase confidence in their intuitional creativity for the preparation and sharing of therapeutic total yoga nidra.


PLEASE NOTE 


This course is for qualified and experienced yoga nidra facilitators who already have confidence in their capacity to deliver yoga nidra, and have an interest in using this modality to support women’s health. 

This is NOT a general yoga nidra training course. If you are looking for a yoga nidra training course, please consider our 60 hour training online and in person .

Please know that this course assumes an existing and working knowledge of the structures of yoga nidra and some skills in the creative and intuitive application of these structures. If you are just beginning to connect with the intuitive and creative applications of yoga nidra we invite you to consider our online Creative and Intuitive applications of yoga nidra course instead . 

This course is focussed specifically on yoga nidra – please note it is not a pregnancy yoga training, nor is it a training in therapeutic yoga for women’s health – we offer complete trainings in these subjects online and in person and invite you to explore these offerings here.

What will I learn?


You will learn:

  • How yoga nidra can support positive experiences of menarche, menstruation, perimenopause, menopause and the journeys of fertility, pregnancy and postnatal recovery including lactation (the female ‘siddhis’).
  • How to develop your confidence in trusting the structure of yoga nidra to create therapeutic practices for female clients and groups encountering these powerful initiatory portals in womanhood and their accompanying challenges.
  • Self-reflective group and individual exercises to cultivate intuition and sensitivity as a facilitator for women’s health yoga nidra 
  • Simple tools to make co-creative yoga nidra with groups of women and yoni owners with specific issues and healing needs.
  • Practical tools to build confidence in working with individuals to address their women’s health issues , including dealing with surgical procedures and examinations
  • Practical skills in managing online environments for trauma informed facilitation of women’s health yoga nidra practices 
  • How to integrate healing principles relevant to women’s health issues into the creation of yoga nidra practices
  • Supportive strategies for creating spontaneous healing experiences in yoga nidra in person and online

  2. Access to Attend 12 hours of LIVE ZOOM meetings 
  3. Twelve live yoga nidra experiences recorded online in our meetings (recordings provided for you afterwards)  - you get access to these afterwards both in our online learning sanctuary in in our Treasure Trove Drop Box

  5. Course document with recommended exercise, resources, bibliography and lists of fair-trade suppliers of instruments and equipment

All classes are recorded and will be available for review up to one year after the course. You are strongly encouraged to attend live if you can.

Meet the Facilitators


Uma Dinsmore-Tuli PhD


Uma met yoga in 1969, at the age of four, and fell in love. She’s been practising ever since, and teaching yoga since 1994.

A yoga therapist with special expertise in yoga therapy for women’s health, Uma is a mother of three, and has written four books on yoga for women, including the massive Yoni Shakti and two books on Yoga Nidra, including Nidrā Shakti: The Power of Rest – An Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Yoga Nidrā

and Yoga Nidra Made Easy.

Uma is co-founder of the Yoga Nidr

Network and has developed Total Yoga Nidrā, Wild Nidrā and Nidrā Shakti: radical creative and intuitive approaches to sharing yoga nidra.






Yoli Maya Yeh MA


Yoli’s lifelong journey in academia, spiritual arts and healing arts molded her expertise in the science of transformation.  From an initial ceremonial initiation into her family’s Native American tradition at age 13, now 34 years later Yoli finds herself working at the intersections of Indigenous Way, healing arts and social justice.  


She is an educator in Comparative Religious Ethics, Global Studies and Cultural Anthropology whose teaching style is rooted in Indigenous methodology and experiential pedagogy.  After building a successful yoga therapy and bodywork healing practice with unique specializations in chronic conditions, unexplainable & untreatable diagnosis and deep spiritual crisis, Yoli began to turn her focus towards diversity, equity, and inclusion consulting in the yoga, wellness and lifestyle industries.
